How to Care for a New Tattoo Using Suprasorb F

Suprasorb F is a German medical film widely used in both medicine and the tattoo industry. While Suprasorb F doesn’t heal the skin or the tattoo directly, it creates optimal conditions for the body to naturally repair damaged skin by secreting wound exudate.

What is Wound Exudate?

Wound exudate is a fluid rich in active cells, playing a crucial role in rebuilding damaged skin. That’s why it’s important to apply Suprasorb F on a fresh tattoo immediately after the session. Remember, the tattoo (wound) must be clean, and the medical film must be properly and securely applied.

How Long to Keep Suprasorb F on a Tattoo?

Keep Suprasorb F on the skin for 4-6 days. During this time, do not disturb the film’s integrity. If bubbles form under the film, do not puncture or try to remove them. This protective barrier is essential for supporting the tattoo healing process.

Aftercare Recommendations After Applying Suprasorb F

After applying the film, it’s recommended to take a shower 5-6 hours later. This helps the film adhere properly, ensuring it stays in place for the following days. While showering, avoid exposing the film to hot water, and try to keep water contact with Suprasorb F to a minimum.

How to Remove Suprasorb F

After 5-6 days, carefully remove the film starting from the bottom, holding it by two edges. Remove the film slowly and gently to minimize discomfort. If you experience significant pain during removal, consider doing it in the shower while soaking the film in warm water.

Tattoo Care After Removing Suprasorb F

Once the film is removed, thoroughly wash the tattoo with antibacterial soap or baby soap in warm water. Then, apply a thin layer of Bepanthen PLUS cream (available at pharmacies). Moisturize the tattoo with the cream 4-5 times a day for the next 3-4 weeks to aid the healing process.

Additional Tips

To reduce pain and prevent inflammation, we recommend taking over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications such as paracetamol, ibuprofen, or aspirin after your tattoo session. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at the studio in person or through social media.
